YEW TREE ROAD

YTR Go Wild in Hertfordshire !!

On 2nd November Simon, Sarah, Peter and Saj from Yew Tree Road enjoyed a day out to the Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire.  They had a lovely day and saw loads of wildlife including; tigers, penguins and lions.

Welcome Back

Welcome back to Hayley from maternity leave.  A huge thank  you to Pam for her support while Hayley was away.

CIPPENHAM

Langley Christmas Fair

On 6th December residents from Cippenham visited East Berkshire College at Langley’s Christmas Fair.  Gary, Sandra, Sylvia, Mandy and Kay had great fun


Birthday Surprise!

On the 15th November Gary, Melvyn and Sandra on behalf of all the residents surprised Nassrin on her birthday.

The Curve

Every Friday residents enjoy a community Yoga session at The Curve in Slough.

BIERTON ROAD

Christmas

The residents at Bierton Road enjoyed going into town to watch the Christmas lights turned on, and see the fireworks display.

Everyone also had a lovely time watching Santa’s parade in Market Square.  They all then went for a coffee and warm up in Costa.

IVY COTTAGE

A Busy Time !

The boys from Ivy have had a really busy November.  They all enjoyed the Gateway Halloween Party as well as Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and watching the Christmas lights turned on in Market Square.

Masterchef

William, Peter and Adrian have been busy cooking, with William and Peter cooking pie and chips for dinner and Adrian making Angel Delight for desert.

Thrift Farm

Stuart enjoyed a day out at Thrift Farm Sports Day.

WENDOVER ROAD

Budding Musicians

Wendover Road have recently introduced music sessions.  The residents have the opportunity to express themselves through playing various musical instruments such as the tambourine, maracas, guitar and even the bongos!.

Sam’s Birthday

Sam had a wonderful birthday.  All the staff sung Happy Birthday to Sam in the morning.  In the afternoon Sam had a visit from her mum and they made plans to go to the theatre to see Aladdin.

New Members of Staff

New staff members Bernard and Judy have both enjoyed their time at Wendover Road so far.

Bernard really enjoyed his first few weeks and said all the staff have been ready to assist him.

Judy said she had received a very warm welcome from staff and residents at Wendover.

UPTON COURT

Activities

This month Upton Court has participated in various activities such as trips to Uxbridge, Speak Out, Rainbow church and going to see the Christmas lights turned on in Slough.

Japan

Wolfe has had a busy month after returning from a surprise holiday in Japan!! He also went to the Maidenhead Remembrance Parade to pay his respects.

SISTINE MANOR & COACH HOUSE

Everyone Doing Well!

Everyone is doing well at Sistine and the Coach House.  They have been supported by staff to enjoy various activities such as college, Age Concern, Football at Montem Leisure Centre and walking.

Christmas Spirit

The homes are both already looking festive with the trees and decorations already up!

MAGNOLIA

PALs

Both Joe and Alex attend the disco at PALs every Thursday night, where they both love to have a dance or two!

Joe has also been taking advantage of a very windy month and has been out flying his kite.

CHESHAM

CQC

Chesham were inspected on 28th and 29th November by the CQC.  The initial feedback was positive and we are waiting to receive the report.
