Ivy CottageIvy Cottage is a newly built home that opened in August 2010.  The house offers residential care to male or female adults with learning disabilities, aged between 18 and 65 years. 

Ivy Cottage is a spacious detached house with a modern interior, consisting of a large lounge and open plan kitchen/dinning room. Both the lounge and dinning areas have patio doors leading out to the garden and patio area. The house also benefits from a large separate laundry room The house can accommodate 8 residents.With 6 bedrooms located on the first floor, all with their own en suite bathroom, and 2 ground floor bedrooms, with ensuite wet-rooms.

 The house is located on the edge of Aylesbury town centre, within easy walking distance. Aylesbury offers a diverse range of local amenities including the local college and leisure centre, library, cinema, and the newly built theatre. As the county town for Buckinghamshire there are also a variety of shops and restaurants for service users to enjoy, as well as evening activities.Ivy Cottage

 Service users attend local college, day centres and other community resources in the local area. They are all supported with individual person centred plans, which include Health Passports.  Care staff can support residents in all activities.  The house has access to a vehicle and service users are encouraged to use the local public transport facilities.

The care practices and philosophies used by REACH have been developed to ensure that each service user feels at home and comfortable, yet stimulated while continuing to learn.
